"DAS SAMS", sprinkled with myriad dots that can fulfil wishes, is patron of our new children's spectacles. And Paul Maar  Bamberg's children's and young adult's fiction writer, is the one who gave life to "DAS SAMS" and all his great and exciting adventures.

At the optician, children can assemble their favourite spectacles with the help of five dots.

DAS SAMS is the protagonist of the five volume series for children, the first written in 1973 called “Eine Woche voller Samstage” (A Week of Saturdays) and the last written in 2002 called “SAMS in Gefahr” (Danger for the Slurb).

The first two books of the story were stage-managed with marionettes in the 'Augsburger Pupprenkiste' theatre and also shown on TV. Since October 2001, DAS SAMS is also a film star! Late in 2003, “SAMS in Gefahr” (My magical friend SAMS), was the second DAS SAMS film in German cinemas.
