NANOPERL·S is the result of multi-disciplinary collaboration by chemists, physicists and process engineers. The structure of the surface coating means water droplets form an angle of 110° to the lens surface. This is referred to as the contact angle and is a measure of the super-hydrophobic nature of NANOPERL·S.

The result is a surface that simply repels water and dirt. The effect is an extremely smooth surface that feels as soft as silk.

NANOPERL·S is the uppermost layer in the coating package and as such is subject to the most wear and tear. We have therefore made this layer even more hardwearing, with NANOPERL·S now offering a 30% improved resilience. Even after years, NANOPERL·S is still smooth and easy to care for, providing optimum conditions for clear vision.
